Mandarin Oriental has recently disclosed that it now owns and independently operates its branded collection of the world’s most elite private vacation homes and mansions. This portfolio currently comprises 25 meticulously chosen, luxurious private properties situated in the most desirable destinations around the globe.

Initially launched in 2022 with just eight properties, Mandarin Oriental plans to increase its portfolio size, solidify its standing in the luxury villa market and expand its global fan base. In alignment with this expansion strategy, the collection will be rebranded as Mandarin Oriental Exceptional Homes.

The portfolio has grown to its current size over the past three years, with each property selected for its superb quality and highly sought-after locations. These homes deliver exemplary service and experiences that align with the renowned hospitality of the award-winning Mandarin Oriental brand.

The Group plans to focus its expansion on luxury leisure destinations. These include European summer hotspots across the Mediterranean, winter escapes in the Alps, and summer and winter destinations in North America. This will allow guests to access Mandarin Oriental’s service throughout the year in the most desirable settings.

The Mandarin Oriental Exceptional Homes collection offers a range of custom-tailored experiences, from beachside escapes and cultural immersions to wellness-focused stays and family-friendly venues. It also caters to clients requiring privacy and exclusivity, such as those seeking multi-generational stays or family celebrations.

Laurent Kleitman, Group Chief Executive of Mandarin Oriental, noted that these luxurious private homes have become a natural extension of the brand. They also present an opportunity to enter new destinations and offer unique experiences to customers worldwide.

The Mandarin Oriental Exceptional Homes are located in sought-after destinations throughout Europe, Asia, and the US. The collection includes quintessential manors in the Cotswolds, magnificent mansions in London, beach-front villas in the South of France and Santorini, and hillside private homes in Mallorca and Ibiza. It also features restored farmhouses in Puglia, an extensive estate in Costa Brava, peaceful retreats in Phuket and Bali, and stunning contemporary homes in Bel Air. Each home is serviced by teams trained by Mandarin Oriental, offering local knowledge of each destination.
