I’ve met HEMA for the first time in the Marais and I thought it was the genius version of an H&M for housewares. Relatively low pricing of generic house goods, often with a Nordic and minimalist design.
The first HEMA opened in Amsterdam in 1926. Since 2014 HEMA is present in France, Spain and the UK.
