In this blog post, I’ll give you all the things you need to know about dining in the Lawn Club Grill on Celebrity Cruises, including menus, a guide on dishes, our review of dining at the Lawn Club Grill on Celebrity Silhouette, and my tips for getting the most out of this unique experience on board.

What is the Lawn Club Grill on Celebrity Cruises?
The Lawn Club is a unique feature on the Celebrity Solstice-class ships. Located on Deck 15 midship, you’ll find half an acre of real grass on board this cruise ship.
The Lawn Club Grill is nestled right next to the lush green Lawn Club and offers a unique culinary experience at sea.
Here you can watch films and concerts (or even sporting events) on the large outdoor screen, play croquet, pose in the oversize deckchair or just do a few cartwheels across the expanse of grass – you could even splash out and rent one of the private Alcoves for the day.

Nestled right next to the lush acre of green is the Lawn Club Grill which offers a unique culinary experience at sea. Available on just two of the Celebrity Cruises ships – Celebrity Silhouette and Celebrity Reflection, this open-air grill restaurant is one of these two ships’ most distinctive features – think open air barbeque with ocean views.
How much does the Lawn Club Grill cost on Celebrity Cruises?
At the time to writing this article, the current prices to dine at the Lawn Club Grill are:
Celebrity Cruises Lawn Club Grill Prices (2024)$50 per adult – When booked on board.$45 per adult – When booked in advance, taking advantage of the 10% pre-cruise discount$33.50 per adult – When booking in advance taking advantage of the 33% embarkation day discount$25 per adult for Lunch on selected sea days, but this is limited to burgers and not steaks.

The Lawn Club Grill cost for kids under 13 was $10 for dinner when booked on board with the same discounts applied for pre-cruise bookings and 1st night bookings.
We took advantage of the embarkation day special which offered a reduced price for all diners. This worked out as £99.51 for 2 adults, 1 child over 13, and 1 child under 13.
What is it like to dine in the Lawn Club Grill?
We dined in the Lawn Club Grill onboard Celebrity Silhouette. We found Lawn Club Grill to be a relaxed, casual dining venue and the staff were amazing. They were more than happy to talk us through the menu and the different cuts of meat.
As you enter the venue here is a refrigerator where you can see all the different cuts of meat. The venue is largely open to the elements but there are awnings and screen to protects you from the weather. The décor is a relaxed ‘back yard’ vibe. The grill and kitchen are all located within the restaurant lending to a feeling or being at someone’s home barbeque.

In the past (pre-covid) the Lawn Club Grill offered guests the opportunity to cook their own steaks and pizzas. However, when we were on board in 2021 and 2023, the chefs now do all the cooking for you. While the novelty of barbequing your own meal on board has its charm, I must admit I prefer the current method and trust the chefs on board to cook a better steak than in ever could.
Despite being an alfresco dining venue, we loved that the Lawn Club grill is protected from the elements with awnings and side panels.
If there one recommendation I can give you – all I will say is pace yourself, go as hungry as possible. This way, you’ll be able to get the most value out of your experience. Although you might still need someone to roll you back to your cabin after your meal.

Of all the speciality dining experiences on board celebrity Silhouette, we found the Lawn Club Grill to be the best value for money, mainly due to the ample portions an all you can eat approach and the fantastic embarkation day discounts available. While it is quite expensive, by taking advantage of an embarkation day special and pre-boarding discounts by booking in advance, it really is an excellent option.

Despite being an alfresco dining venue, we loved that the Lawn Club grill is protected from the elements with awnings and side panels. Dining Alfresco in the British summertime can sometimes mean eating in the pouring rain and howling wind.

Even through it was windy on the evening of our embarkation from Southampton, the heaters in the Lawn Club Grill and covered space meant that we had the best of both worlds; an alfresco dining experience without feeling cold. However, if you are sailing in a warmer climate, then dining in this venue will really be a great option.
What’s included in the Lawn Club Grill on Celebrity Silhouette?
Within your cover charge, you’ll find Flatbread starters (which are in fact full size pizzas), an all you can eat salad buffet which could easily be considered a meal in itself on other menus. If you have any room left after these two courses, then you can choose from a range of steaks, lamb chops, tandoori chicken, burgers, kebabs, and a selection of seafood, such as shrimp, salmon and red snapper.
All you can eat Salad bar featuring fresh field greens, signature composed salads colourful seasonal vegetables, gourmet cheeses and from scratch dressings.
I’m not finished yet; there’s still an array of sides to choose from to accompany your main meal, including lobster mac and cheese, baked potato, rice, creamed corn, and beans. You’re not limited to just one or two sides either – you can choose all or any combination of these to accompany your main meal.

WTF Burger (White English Cheddar, Thick cut double smoked pepper bacon, Fried onion strings, WTF sauce).
If by some miracle after consuming your first three courses, you still have room for something more than a wafer-thin mint, then you might be tempted by the Apple Crumble, American Cheesecake, Blueberry Cobbler, Carrot Cake, or the infamous Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie with vanilla ice cream.

When can you eat in the Lawn Club Grill?
Dinner is between 6pm and 9pm. The Lawn Club Grill is also open for lunch on selected sea days – check on the app or the daily planner for more info.

If you want to try out the Lawn Club Grill on Celebrity Silhouette, then definitely take advantage of the embarkation day special rates they offer. It is also likely to be quiet at this time (as everyone else heads to the MDR or is getting to know their way around ship) and makes for a relaxed and attentive dining experience.
Remember to leave enough room (if you can) for the Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie.
One thing to note if you’re dining with kids, Celebrity Cruises charges kids 13 and over a full adult price to dine at the Lawn Club so it can work out pricey for a family of four – especially your kids are quite happy to stick with the salads and pizzas on offer. So due to the full price charge for kids over 13, this venue might be a better option for a date night while the kids head to Camp at Sea for the evening.
Don’t let less than favourable weather put you off dining here either – the venue is sheltered and warm. (but there are blankets on hand if you need them!). However, I envisage that the best dining experience is likely to be on a gentle Caribbean evening with endless blue seas and a spectacular sunset for your view.
And finally (and I can’t stress this enough), if you’re dining here in the evening, have a light lunch or have a good brunch and skip lunch altogether. There is a lot of delicious food you will want to try.
