As you all know, ‘I love cruising, I never want to get off a ship once on board, and if I could live on board a Cruise ship… I would’ so I took the plunge. On Monday 23rd October 2023, I applied for my dream job. I went to the Princess Cruises Entertainment website, filled in the application form, orgainized my CV, created a ‘Dear Princess Audition Video,’ and applied to become the next amazing Assistant Cruise Director’ at Princess Cruises.On Tuesday 16th July 2024, I woke up to an email from Taylor Thompson (the Casting Specialist) at Princess Cruises informing me that ‘Princess Cruises is coming to Australia in August to hold LIVE auditions for Cruise staff (including ‘Assistant Cruise Directors), and the Creative Arts. Although I was asked to create an ‘Introduction Video;’ for the position; I didn’t have to do anything else because Taylor the red my CV, and watched the video I sent in and personally invited me to attend the (invitation only) auditions in Melbourne. With my three minute Audition speech written; I was just about to start rehearsals when she emailed me with the news that ‘the Creative Arts Auditions’ are still going ahead.’ However, the Australian Cruise Staff Auditioins have been postpond until further notice.” This actually came as good news to me because ‘I wasn’t sure what wanted to do, and it gives me more time to rehearse.’Watch this space for more information coming soon.
