IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Sakthi Elegant Towers India Pvt Ltd to develop a new Holiday Inn hotel in Chennai, India. This will be IHG’s fifth hotel in Chennai and the third one under the Holiday Inn brand. The hotel, Holiday Inn Chennai Vandalur, is slated to open in 2026.

The new hotel aims to add 200 rooms to IHG’s growing portfolio in southern India in response to increasing market demand. As part of IHG’s global Holiday Inn brand, the new hotel will feature the brand’s Open Lobby concept, offering a versatile space for guests.
