Commercial real estate investment firm Peachtree Group has acquired its sixth hotel property, the 90-key Home2 Suites by Hilton St. Augustine I-95. Located in the greater Jacksonville, Florida area, the purchase is structured as a Delaware Statutory Trust (DST), a strategy that offers tax deferral benefits to investors. It is Peachtree’s third DST acquisition this year, following the Residence Inn Tampa Wesley Chapel DST in November.
The Home2 Suites by Hilton St. Augustine I-95 is located off I-95 and close to St. Augustine, a popular tourist destination in Florida. The city’s historic charm and robust economy attract millions of visitors annually, ensuring consistent hotel service demand.
Tim Witt, president of 1031 Exchange/DST Products at Peachtree, highlighted the property’s suitability for the firm’s DST portfolio. He cited its prime location along the I-95 corridor, strong population growth in the surrounding area, and St. Augustine’s rich historical and cultural appeal. The hotel is well-equipped to cater to leisure and business travelers, offering modern convenience and comfortable accommodations.

These acquisitions, including the recent Home2 Suites by Hilton St. Augustine I-95, amount to approximately $175 million in debt-free real estate transactions.
